Mila Supinskaya

Artist’s Note

I grew up in Ukraine in a home filled with movement and image. My mother was a ballerina, my father worked with film photography and posters. Art was never separate from life — it was the rhythm of it. I was drawn early to animation, design, painting. But it was textile and embroidery that held me.

Working with fabric steadies me. The rhythm of thread, the time it takes, the feel of it in my hands — it quiets the noise. It’s where I find peace, solace and eventually spirituality. Each piece is a conversation, slow and deliberate. It’s poetry without words. The reward is in finishing something that carries care, structure, and emotion.
